First off, I’d like to say I have so much admiration for Prince. When it came to his style, nothing was off limits. Everything he wore was executed PERFECTLY. He challenged so many boundaries between both race and gender norms. Crop tops and heels were common outfit additions for Prince which really helped to break down the boundaries of masculinity. Amongst that, Prince was a lover of ruffles, lace, exotic floral statements, flared sleeves, leopard print and of course, anything purple. I love the bold statement he makes with his outfit in the left picture proving that no amount of fluff, pink and sparkles could ever be TOO much for Prince. Another one of my favourite things about Prince was his wild, naturally textured hair and forever-interesting facial hair. I have no idea why but his facial hair was always so intriguing and eye-catching. I’m not sure if it was the fact that it was always well groomed or if it was that you could tell it was done flawlessly by a straight razor from a mile away?! I think my favourite hairstyle he ever had was his natural afro, something about it just complimented his outfits perfectly. There’s nothing I love more than someone who can embrace their natural texture! He was truly an incredible human being with impeccable talent. Rest in peace, Prince. Forever a legend.
