Bellami Hair Extensions
Hi everyone! It’s Victoria from Lucido Hair Studio in Burlington, Ontario! In this blog I’ll be talking a bit about our new service… HAIR EXTENSIONS!
Back in July, I took an amazing hair extension course with Bellami Professional in Toronto, Ontario. I decided to take this course because hair extensions are a great addition to my tool belt of beauty, and I want to be able to give my clients the hair of their dreams. With extensions we can add length, body, volume, a chemical free color service, and confidence! I had the opportunity to learn these 4 different methods:
Keratin Tips (K-Tips): K-Tips are individual extensions installed with a hot fusion technique. These are great for people that do not want to come in every 4 weeks for maintenance, have a more active lifestyle, and like to wear their hair up often. The hair for these extensions lasts up to 3 months and then they need to be removed, and new hair must be bought.
I-Tips: These are individual extensions installed with a small copper bead. I-Tips are great for those that do not want adhesives, have an active lifestyle, and like to wear their hair up often. I-Tips need to be moved up every 4 weeks and full removal and reinstallation every other time. The hair bought for this type of extension has a lifespan of up to a year if maintained properly!
Wefts: This is a weft of hair sewn into the natural hair. Wefts are great for maximum coverage and minimal upkeep. They need to be moved up every 4 weeks and full removal and reinstallation every other time. The hair bought can have a lifespan of up to a year if maintained properly.
Tape Ins: Tape ins are a weft of hair that is applied using a medical grade adhesive by sandwiching the natural hair between two wefts. There is minimal residue, and no heat required. Tape ins need to be moved up every 4 weeks and full removal and reinstallation every other time. If maintained properly the hair can last up to a year.
All the methods can be used on almost all hair types. Bellami has a very wide range of extension colors, so it is fairly easy to get a perfect match in color! If you’re looking for a bit more fullness or feel like you can’t get your hair to grow past a certain length, extensions may be the way to go! Book in for a consultation to find out if extensions are right for you!
