Winter Air and What It Can Do to Your Hair
During these dark, cold, and long Burlington, Ontario months, our moods start to change a bit. So do our hair and skin!
You may notice your scalp feeling tighter, your hair looking drier than normal, all the fun things that happen when it gets cold out. Here are some tips and tricks to help combat this cold winter!
- Invest in good products: most water-based products will not cut it in this cold weather. Eufora’ s aloe vera based products are definitely a good way to add extra hydration back into your hair.
For those with thicker/dry hair, the moisture intense shampoo and conditioner duo along side the leave in hydration after shower product will be your best friend! It’s packed with amazing benefits to really help combat the cold effects. Damage Cure Complex, Tri Sugar Complex, Vibrant Color Complex, sunflower seed extract, quinoa, botanical extract blend, and of course 100% organic aloe vera are all the ingredients that help to strengthen, give deep moisture infusion, protect against sun damage and color fading, and add shine!
For those with average/finer/dry hair the hydrating shampoo, moisture solution conditioner, and leave in hydration are a great option to give the hydration needed without weighing the hair down. Lemongrass, botanical extract blend, quinoa protein, chamomile blend, passionflower blend, sunflower seed extract, and 100% organic aloe vera will help strengthen, add shine, repair, promote scalp health, protect from sun damage, and of course, hydrate! With the leave in hydration, it is great for fine hair but a little goes a long way and too much can weigh it down!
All Eufora products are aloe vera based and more hydrating than average shampoos, but the ones listed above are great for the Burlington harsh winter air!
- Silk pillowcases: standard cotton pillowcases tend to absorb the good oils off our hair and skin, cause frizz, dryness, and are a breeding ground for dust mites. The natural amino acids in silk pillowcases let our hair and skin keep the good oils to maintain moisture, reduced friction which controls frizz, and an added benefit of helping to control our bodies natural temperatures so less heat is created!
- Regular trims: trims are always important to keep split ends away, but they are especially important during the colder months. Those split ends that are not trimmed can get worse with the cold weather drying them out more. To keep those ends fresh and not drier than average, we recommend a trim every 8 weeks during the cooler months!
All in all, these tips can help counteract the negative effects of the cold winter air and keep your hair looking as amazing as possible!
